And when this way of looking at someone concerns both the persons, one ends up getting frustrated and the other ends up ditching the first one. What is the end result? Does any side benifit from all this?
Surely, all of you must have guessed that I am speaking of teenage infatuations here. Yeah, teenage infatuations, perhaps one of the most researched topics by various scientists. Yet, feeling it is a complete different story I feel. Yet at some point of time, how does the definition of love change? How does the person change? How can we replace that person with someone else so very easily? Is love replaceable ?
Let's take a common example of a teenage girl.
A girl in her early fifteen , probably any other girl like me. She has some infatuation for a boy, who is even in his early fifteen. The girl likes him a lot or even claims to 'love' him. Slowly, even the boy starts feeling for that girl. Please note that here we are speaking of infatuations and not 'love' ( although they might claim to love each other a lot) . They get into a relation and spend some happy moments . After a couple of months, you hear that they broke off due to some very silly reason. Who was benifitted by all this? Was this all just for fun? Should love be taken that casually? According to any standard dictionary, love is nothing but the fondness for a person which can be felt for your own father mother, relative or any other third person. Yet, the feeling for a third person is something which is new and amuses us, how can someone take it so casually then? Don't you think this changes the entire concept of love? Does this really mean that a teenage girl cannot really love a boy? Now by that love, I mean possessing real feelings for someone which would be utter devotion, trust, hope and filled with patience. Does few hugs and kisses define love? Or it is really felt at heart? When should a teenage girl understand that yes, she has really fallen in love which is long lasting ??
Isn't it sad that sometimes you just can't say what you feel for the other person truly?
Result: thinking love to be a curse!
Just a mere misconception, just a few uncontrolled feelings can spoil the concept of love, which is essential for any relation. It amazes all of us that how can some misconceptions change the definition of love or even try to redefine it? Is love a relative concept? Is it a crime loving someone?
Ouestions unanswered always enclose the mystery of this beautiful concept! Have we even tried exploring it?
One cannot do so unless he or she has a lot or trust and patience within and hence, patience and trust are the main ingredients of any sort of healthy relationship!
